How supervised visitation works here

Kansas law gives a parent the right to reasonable parenting time unless the court finds it would seriously endanger the child's physical, mental, moral or emotional health (K.S.A. 23-3208).
The court can order that exchanges or parenting time take place at a child exchange and visitation center (K.S.A. 23-3208), and domestic abuse is one of the factors the court weighs (K.S.A. 23-3203).
The Douglas County Family Law Guidelines require parents in divorce and post divorce cases involving minor children to attend an approved parenting class.
Contested custody cases must try mediation before a final hearing is set, and the Douglas County Visitation and Exchange Center provides supervised visitation and monitored exchanges.
